The National Weather Service says there were possible tornadoes in Washington, Tangipahoa and St. Tammany parishes Thursday morning.
Petey Drago lives near one of the reported touchdowns off Highway 25 about a mile south of Folsom.
"All of a sudden the rain just started beating down hard, hard, hard. I started hearing stuff cracking. I went and look out my bedroom window and it was moving like crazy," he told WWL First News. "We got a barn halfway in the middle of our road, it doesn't have a roof."
There are also roofs blown off other structures, dozens of trees toppled and power lines down in that area along a line of damage stretching about a mile long and 100 yards wide.
Elsewhere, fire officials report another possible twister touching down in Washington Parish near LA 439 and Bill Booty Road near Bogalusa. Numerous trees are down in that area.
In Tangipahoa Parish emergency managers report a possible tornado knocking down trees in the Pumpkin Center Community. Some trees fell on homes. Officials say dozens of houses suffered damage. Clera Ann Dupree has a tree through her home. "I heard a horrible noise, roaring - roaring wind blowing really hard. I screamed 'it's a tornado!' "
